St Kitts and Nevis is a two-island country in the eastern Caribbean Sea. Both islands were formed by volcanic activity and are mountainous. St Kitts is a fertile island with mainly black sandy beaches. Nevis is surrounded by coral reefs and has silver beaches.
Jamaica is a large island in the Caribbean Sea. It lies 630 kilometres north-east of mainland Central America. Its close neighbours are Haiti, to the east, and Cuba, to the north. There are mountains and plateaus to the interior and east of the island. It is surrounded by coastal plains, with sandy beaches and many natural bays.
Saint Lucia is a fertile island country in the Caribbean Sea. Its closest neighbours are the islands of Martinique, to the north, and Saint Vincent, to the south-west. It was formed by volcanic activity. Its geographic features include a central ridge of mountains, many rivers and boiling sulphur springs. It is surrounded by sandy beaches.
Guyana is in the north-east of South America. It borders the North Atlantic Ocean. Its neighbours are Suriname, to the east, Brazil, to the south and south-west, and Venezuela, to the west. Guyana has a low-lying, narrow coastal belt, hilly tropical forest and high savannah uplands. Most of its people live along the coast.

St Vincent and The Grenadines lies in the eastern Caribbean Sea. It is made up of the island of St Vincent and the northern Grenadines, a group of 32 smaller islands and cays (low banks of coral or rock) to the south. The southern Grenadines are part of Grenada. St Vincent and The Grenadines is volcanic, with one volcano still active, and mountainous. The islands are covered in forest.
Grenada is a small island country of volcanic origin in the eastern Caribbean. It lies just 160 kilometres north of Venezuela. Grenada has a ridge of mountains that run from north to south with steep valleys. It also features large areas of tropical rainforest. Some of the Southern Grenadines islands are a dependency of Grenada, meaning it has political control.
Dominica is a small, fertile island in the eastern Caribbean Sea. Its closest neighbours are the French islands of Guadeloupe and Marie-Galante, to the north, and Martinique, to the south. The island was formed from volcanic activity. It has a range of high mountains covered in forests. It still has several active volcanoes.

Canada is the second-largest country in the world. It borders the United States to the south, and the US state of Alaska to the north-west. It is also next to the Pacific, Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. Canada’s hugely varied geography includes mountain ranges, highland plateaus with thousands of lakes and rivers, lowlands, plains and prairies. The Arctic region of the country has hundreds of islands.
Belize is a Central American country on the Caribbean Sea. Its lies south of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, with Guatemala to the west and south. Its long east coast is mainly flat and swampy. It has low mountains in the south. Tropical forest covers more than half of its land area.
Barbados is a small island country in the south-eastern Caribbean Sea. Its neighbours include Saint Lucia, to the north, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, to the west, and Trinidad and Tobago to the south. It is a fairly flat island, but with Mount Hillaby rising via terraced tablelands to 336 metres. Barbados is surrounded by coral reefs.
The Bahamas is an archipelago of nearly 700 coral islands. Around 30 of the islands are inhabited. The Bahamas sits in the West Atlantic Ocean, 100 kilometres south-east of Florida in the United States and 80 kilometres north-east of Cuba. The islands are generally flat and low-lying.

The country comprises two main islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and several smaller islands. It lies close to South America, with Venezuela to the south-west and Guyana to the south-east. Trinidad has three mountain ranges, high waterfalls and sandy beaches. Tobago has a mountain range, beaches and coral reefs.
Antigua and Barbuda is a tropical but dry country of 3 islands in the Eastern Caribbean. The largest, Antigua, has secluded bays and sandy beaches, coral reefs and volcanic rocks rising to about 400 metres at Mount Obama. Barbuda is a flat coral island with a large lagoon, while tiny Redonda is rocky and uninhabited.
